Derren was born in 1971 in Croydon, though now lives in Bristol after going to University there. He studied German and Law, though expressed that he neither really wanted to be a lawyer or a German!
Derren has been described as many things(including 'a parrot loving dandy'!), the best description for what he does though is 'psycholgical illusionist'. He combines magic,mentalism and NLP techniques to perform 'Mind Control'.
He originally learnt to be a hypnotist(too tacky), hypnotherapist(too boring) and then magician(too conventional).
He has written a couple of books and is widely renowned within magic circles especially for his card tricks and sleight of hand.
He is slightly obsessed with the music of Bach,especially 'The Goldberg Variations' which he listens to everyday.
Derren is also an accomplished artist focusing on cariacatures of famous people.
He lives in a Victorian house with his parrot Figaro. ( Or did)?
I had the best dream one morning bout Derren. Thing is i dont really dream but travel? U know out of body!

Damn that was the BEST. (cough) dream ive ever had!
I wanted to tell Derren cos im a dirty lil so'n'so so mailed him but the person who read it was of course one of Derrens minions, must of been a lady cos she wasnt pleased at all! Hell i was only spreading some joy! hahaha It wasnt rude! the dream was mostly a loving effort! Hes Piscean i think! So am i so that would explain why it was a gentle experience ;-)
Sad thing about OOBEs though (out of body experience) is that both partys rarely remember it at the same time! Would be bloody cool if he recognized me but i doubt it very much, but heres hoping! Will ask spirit to have me bump into him somehow! Spirits been very good to me so far! Ask and u will receive...
I realized recently, Derren places strategic suggestions into the mind of his subject so he will know exactly what they will say and think but isnt life preconceived too?
In sleep we rest our bodies while our spirits travel, visit other people, learn and discuss what will be done the next day. We programme our physical persons like what Derren does to his subject. So in waking its all planned out, we just forget about it.
U noticed that lippy thing he does when he talks! i spent many minutes laffin my head of as i stepped his 1st series DVD. Must say i know why he does his exagerated lip thing but he pulls some funny faces. So cute though hehehe.
Wonder what the other hands doing!
